Da das Haus ein geschütztes Kulturgut ist, wurde es nach den Vorgaben des Restaurierungsinstituts saniert und restauriert. Die Böden sind mit Metallkonstruktionen verstärkt, sämtliche Holzarbeiten sind imprägniert und geschützt. Das Dach ist außerdem vollständig wasserdicht.
In der Nähe gibt es zwei Strände – Sand- und Kieselstrände sowie alle notwendigen Annehmlichkeiten für das Leben oder einen kurzen Aufenthalt.
